Resident Services
At Community Housing Solutions (CHS), resident services are designed to support the whole household — not just the housing. Our goal is to strengthen lives and communities through programs that promote stability, education, wellness, and economic mobility.
Community Partners
At CHS, we believe strong communities are built through collaboration. That’s why we work hand-in-hand with local nonprofits, schools, and service partners to bring resources and programming directly to our residents. In addition to educational, wellness, and social programs for children, adults, and seniors, we partner with Small Things Matter and Wegmans to provide food deliveries for families in need, collaborate with the County to offer rent relief support for households and seniors, and host school supply drives to ensure students are prepared for success. We also invest in the next generation by providing tuition assistance, academic awards, and incentive donations to motivate students to excel in school. These partnerships help expand access, reduce barriers, and create meaningful pathways for stability and growth. Our goal is simple: to make every CHS property a place where people feel supported, connected, and equipped to thrive.

Deauville Apartments
Takoma Park, MD
Deauville Apartments is home to 101 families in Takoma Park — many of whom are longtime residents, essential workers, seniors on fixed incomes, and young families working to build stability. With rents restricted at 50–60% of AMI, the property provides one of the few remaining affordable housing options in a part of Montgomery County where rising costs have pushed many households out of the community they’ve called home for years. When Deauville was at risk of transitioning out of affordability, CHS partnered with the County to step in and preserve it, ensuring residents could remain in place without facing displacement or sudden rent increases. This acquisition wasn’t just about saving a building — it was about protecting roots, keeping children in their schools, keeping caregivers near the people they serve, and keeping neighbors connected to the community that supports them. Under CHS stewardship, Deauville will receive reinvestment in both the property and the people who live there, so families don’t just stay housed — they have the foundation to thrive.
